Nourish your Type: A four-session exploration of
the Enneagram and intuitive eating
with Dr. Karin Kratina
Nourish Your Type is a four-session exploration of intuitive eating through the lens of the Enneagram.
If you’re ready to step out of diet culture and learn to trust your body’s inner wisdom, this group offers a compassionate, insight-rich path.
You’ll learn how your type’s motivations shape your patterns with food, how diet culture has pulled you away from your own signals, and how to return to an attuned, grounded relationship with eating. This group isn’t about weight loss—it’s about understanding yourself, softening old patterns, and building trust from the inside out.
If you’re ready for a paradigm shift in how you relate to food, your body, and yourself, we’d love to have you.
Note: To ensure best fit and group cohesion, a short intake application is required with your registration. Complete it here before or after you register.

People often come to intuitive eating hoping for an easier way to control food or weight.
Something in them is tired—tired of fighting food, tired of fighting themselves. They’re hoping for a more successful way to manage food, or even hoping intuitive eating might allow them to, finally, lose that weight. That hope makes sense.
But they misunderstand intuitive eating as “eat whatever you want,” try it without the deeper mindset shifts required, and end up feeling confused, out of control, and convinced the approach doesn’t work.
But intuitive eating isn’t just a method for managing food, and it’s not a disguised weight-loss plan.
Eventually, people discover that intuitive eating asks for something deeper: a shift in worldview. It requires stepping out of the dominant paradigm—what we often call diet culture, with its rules, vigilance, and moralizing—and into a completely different relationship with your body. One grounded in trust rather than control.
This shift can feel disorienting at first. It asks you to trust signals you may have ignored for years. It asks you to let go of beliefs that once felt like survival. And it asks you to re-learn something your body has actually known since infancy.
Your body can guide your eating, and it can guide you well.
Many people never fully make this shift. They try to practice intuitive eating while holding onto the belief that they still need to be “careful,” still need to manage their hunger, still need to be watchful of their weight, still need to be “good.” Those beliefs quietly keep them rooted in the old paradigm—and they get stuck.
This group is designed for people who are ready to cross that threshold.
We’ll use the Enneagram As a powerful companion to intuitive eating.
Just like discovering your Enneagram type can feel like putting on glasses for the first time—suddenly seeing motivations, patterns, and emotional habits you never quite had language for—bringing the Enneagram into your relationship with food gives you a deeper, kinder understanding of why you eat the way you do.
You will begin to see:
how your type’s core motivations shape your struggles with food
how your protective patterns show up at the table
how you lose or find yourself under stress
and how compassion—not discipline—is what actually creates change
When you combine the Enneagram’s insight with the paradigm shift of intuitive eating, something remarkable happens: you stop trying to control yourself, and you start understanding yourself. From that understanding comes compassion. From compassion comes trust. From trust comes a way of eating that is grounded, attuned, and sustainable.
That’s the heart of Nourish Your Type.
Over four sessions, we’ll explore:
what intuitive eating really is
how to shift out of the diet culture worldview
how your Enneagram type shapes your eating patterns
and how to turn inward with curiosity instead of judgment
so that your internal signals—not external rules—become your guide
A quick but important note
This is not a weight-loss group. We will not focus on shrinking bodies or chasing a goal weight. We will talk about weight only in the context of how the body naturally regulates itself through attuned eating. If you are looking for a structured weight-loss plan, this group will not meet your needs—and that is intentional.
But if you are ready to step out of the old paradigm, soften toward yourself, understand your food patterns through the lens of your type, and rebuild trust with your body…you are exactly who this group was created for.
If this resonates—if something in you lets out a small exhale—join us.
We will honor the three-center wisdom of the Enneagram and the embodied wisdom of intuitive eating, and together create a path that helps you find a new, more peaceful way to relate to food, eating, and your body.
Meet Your teacher
Dr. Karin Kratina is a nationally recognized nutrition therapist, author and speaker who is known for her groundbreaking work with intuitive eating and eating disorders. She co-authored the first professional book on intuitive eating, Moving Away from Diets (1996, 2003), and has authored multiple book chapters, including “Treatment of Eating Disorders” in the Handbook of Medical Nutrition Therapy: The Florida Diet Manual.
But things were not always so good. In fact, a degree in nutrition and Masters in exercise physiology did nothing to fix her eating problems. It was not until she turned her back on that education and developed an entirely new approach to eating and weight management that she was able to end the food craziness. She brings this approach to her work with clients to heal emotional eating, disordered eating, body image issues and weight concerns.
Dr. Kratina holds a PhD in Symbolic Anthropology and a Graduate Certificate in Gender Studies from the University of Florida. Always interested in bringing new healing modalities to her clients, she became a Somatic Experiencing Practitioner, and has over 500 hours of in-person enneagram training, including 3 yearlong trainings with Enneagram School of Awakening and Embodiment Tradition founder Dr. Lissa Friedman. She uses the Enneagram in her work with clients as well as her personal life.
