The Enneagram Through the Embodiment Tradition

This introductory course includes an overview and history of the Enneagram and the Embodiment Tradition, a revolutionary point of access for the Enneagram that gives students a deep, somatic understanding of Enneatype and Essence.

Students will understand the Enneagram symbol and meaning, explore the 9 Enneatypes (types) from their fixated patterning to their most open Essence, and learn key topics including Instincts, Subtypes, Wings, Movement, and Challenges and Growth opportunities for each type.

This course is approximately 4 hours long and divided into 4 sessions:

Session 1

  • Basics of the Enneagram

  • History of the Enneagram School of Awakening and the Embodiment Tradition

  • Introduction to the Centers of Intelligence

  • The 3 Energetics of the Embodiment Tradition (Body/Gut, Heart, Head)

Session 2

  • The Body/Gut Types (8,1,9)

Session 3

  • The Heart Types (2,4,3)

Session 4

  • The Head Types (7,5,6)

  • Concluding points
