What Enneagram point are you avoiding?

9 prompts to reconnect to the Essence of each type

Which of the 9 Enneagram energies are you avoiding in yourself?

So much Enneagram work supports our growth and integration across all aspects of ourselves. When I first started studying the Enneagram, I didn’t realize how much shadow work was a part of it. This was not only true for my own core type (Type 2), but for all of the other types.

In our teaching, we often say that what triggers you in others is a signal to explore your own shadow. Where do those aspects live within you? What are they teaching you?

Which Enneagram point do you have the most trouble sitting with? What happens when you finally breathe into that energy – and even create from it?

In our upcoming International Enneagram Association workshop, which Director Ali will be co-leading with Jessica Dibb on October 17 from 12-4 p.m. ET, you’ll cross the threshold into all 9 types and Essences from deep within yourself, giving you new access to the highest qualities of each. The session includes breathwork, compassionate practices, and the creation of your own piece of writing imbued with all 9 Essence qualities. ✍️

🎁 As a little gift before the session, we’ll leave you with the below prompts.

Notice what the following questions bring up for you. What would it be like to answer each one authentically? How can you embrace any friction that comes up?

Point 8: Who are you when you stand in your true power?

Point 9: How are you connected to all frequencies in the universe?

Point 1: Are you living in alignment with your true values?

Point 2: Are you offering yourself the love you give to others?

Point 3: What shines within you without your efforting?

Point 4: How does your grief contribute to the beauty of the world?

Point 5: What in you feels alien and separate? What is it like to hold that part with tenderness?

Point 6: What do you fear? How can you step courageously toward it?

Point 7: How can joy be more abundant in your life?
